GTD, Getting Things Done, is David Allen’s method for organising commitments. One principle is to decide the next concrete action. “Fix the bike” may take several steps. “Look up the bike shop’s phone number” is something you can do.
Here is our own AI exercise based on that principle. Pick three items from your list and paste them into, for example, Gemini’s regular chat. You can try this with a personal account without a paid subscription, though usage limits apply. Leave out sensitive information.
Write: “Help me clarify these items using GTD. Suggest one concrete next action for each. It should be possible without doing something else first. Ask if anything is unclear. Don’t invent deadlines or new commitments.”
If you want a shop to service your bike, finding the number could be a sensible first step. If you want to repair it yourself, you need a different suggestion. Your answers to follow-up questions matter.
Choose the suggestions that fit and copy them to your usual list. You still decide what matters and when to do it.
