On 23 September, OpenAI announced that Live supports plugins on the web, iOS and Android. This means connected apps and tools available to your account can be used during a voice conversation.

Voice is also available in Work on the web and mobile. There, you can ask for help creating documents, presentations and spreadsheets, for example. If the task is unfinished when the conversation ends, the work can continue in text.

Imagine talking through an idea for a club evening and asking for a short planning document: its purpose, the programme and what needs preparing. Afterwards, you can read, adjust and consider the proposal at your own pace.

The options you see depend on your plan, access to Work and connected apps. Existing permissions still apply when you speak. The promising part is a more natural flow between thinking aloud and getting something concrete to work on.
