Google announced on October 19 that Gemini Notebook is getting a new review step for Slide Decks and Video Overviews. Instead of moving directly from an instruction to a finished artifact, the tool can first suggest the topics to include.

With the Review toggle enabled, Google says you can inspect outline notes for slides or producer notes for videos. You can then ask for changes — such as adding an executive summary, moving a section or changing the emphasis — before selecting Proceed and generating the final result.

What is verified is that the feature exists and, according to Google, is rolling out globally to all users during the week. The exact time it appears in an individual account may therefore vary.

1. Is anything missing that the audience needs to understand?
2. Does the conclusion arrive in the right order?
3. Should anything be removed before it turns into five unnecessary slides?

Our editorial takeaway: this is more interesting than simply another AI presentation feature. It moves human control to the right moment — before the AI has spent time on colour, layout and rendering. A good plan is still cheaper to change than an almost finished result.
