On 23 September, Google described new connections to external apps. Examples include planning and work tools such as Airtable, Linear and monday.com, as well as creative services including Adobe and Picsart.
The features are rolling out gradually. Which connections exist and what they can do depend on the service, account and availability. It is best to check Gemini’s connected app settings rather than assume everything is available immediately.
The everyday idea is simple: less copying between windows and more ways to continue work you have started. But a connection also needs a clear purpose to be useful.
If you try it, begin with one service and check which permissions you are granting. One small, working process is easier to understand than connecting everything at once.
