On 3 September, OpenAI introduced GPT-6 Astra, with improvements in areas including programming, research and working in computer applications. The company also highlights its ability to create documents, presentations and spreadsheets that follow users’ instructions and templates.

For anyone with an idea, this is an interesting direction. Even a small project can involve many steps: gathering information, choosing an approach, writing and then improving it. OpenAI describes Astra as better at keeping this work together, even when you change your mind along the way.

That does not mean everyone gets access on the same day. The launch starts with a limited group of organisations, with wider availability planned over the following days.

Once the model is available on your account, a good starting point could be a specific task with a clear goal: a simple club website or a presentation about your hobby. Explain who it is for and what it should include. It will be interesting to see how far an idea of your own can go.
